PARISH SPECIAL REPORT MAILED TO ALL RESIDENTS IN APRIL
St. Charles Parish officials mailed a special report booklet to all residents highlighting the special projects completed in 2018.
“My administration’s goal is to continuously work towards improving the quality of life for our residents and it is our responsibility to be transparent on how we are achieving that,” said Parish President Larry Cochran. “Without the dedicated parish employees these accomplishments wouldn’t be possible. I hope the residents feel a sense of pride living in a community with such dedicated civil servants.”
Produced by the Public Information Office, the 10-page special report gives a brief overview of parish departments’ accomplishments in 2018. A video version of the special report will be released at a later date as a companion piece to the booklet.
“This year we produced a video version in hopes of adding another layer of outreach in our continued efforts to educate the residents on the work being done,” said Interim Public Information Officer Adrienne Bourgeois. “It is nearly impossible to capture all of the great work government employees do 365 days a year in 10 pages; however, this booklet and the video give us the ability to highlight the projects that impact the quality of life for our residents.”
Some of the accomplishments highlighted in the report were the completion of major levee system projects, drainage and sewer improvements and essential infrastructure upgrades like the courthouse chiller replacement.
